Awww spring is finally close enough to touch and I'm so very happy about that! I love to see the spring flowers and warmer temps coming back slowly and people are starting to uncover a little now.
As every spring I like to post a reminder of spring tips to get the most out of your sunless tan. For the most part we have been covered up thru another Seattle winter. Now its time to start up with our beauty routine for the upcoming summer season.
One very important habit to get into is exfoliating and make it a habit...period. Its the only beauty secret that is practically free... ok so a puff is a couple bucks. BUT the rewards are glowing skin that is softer and less dull and flaky...so much prettier than flakes. Yikes!
When prepping for your tan make sure to do it as much as you can before your session as possible, gently but thoroughly. Use a good quality hydrating lotion everynight up till your appt. Remember to use oil based exfoliants 48hr or more ahead of time to make sure the residue is off your skin. Get those mani/Pedi's day before and waxing 2days before your session as well. When doing sugaring you have no worries I can actually tan you right after with ease.
Keep the day of your session simple..nothing on your skin. Please do not exfoliate right before your appt. as opening up pores right before is not the best idea.
One more little tip...Stop spraying perfume directly on your chest, it leads to splotchy skin and so not attractive. (Wink!)
Cheers Lovelies and Looking forward to bringing your glow to your front door!
For a few months I was offering Salon appointments as I was starting to get alot of requests of people asking if they could come to me instead as they lived to far away or just preferred that instead.
I'm finding that there is definatly a certain type of person who appreciates the personal service of me coming to them and those who would rather just go to a salon. The idea is catching on here slowly in Seattle that we can have front door service at a fraction of the price that other cities charge. Whats your time worth...I mean really when you factor in your time, gas, traffic and parking not to mention your frustration if your running behind because of one or any of these factors!
You have to ask yourself whats your time worth? I don't know about you but I value my time and yours very much, we all have so much to do now and keep up with, with work, family and getting precious time to ourselves do we really NEED to run yet another errand?
when I come to you even if I'm running a little behind (which I always call to let you know in case you have something going on afterwards) you can just chill out in your home, catch up on emails, do another load of laundry or finish the movie you were watching...how cool it that?
I also just read today on another sunless tanning site back east that IF its raining they actually say to call and reschedule your tan so the rain won't ruin it??? Thats another great feature of having onsite sunless, we know it rains here in Seattle but when your at home you can stay in and chill for a bit before you head out and dress accordlingly for the weather. You also won't get your tan ruined by hot cars or the lovely seatbelt right after you get your tan which is NOT the case when you go to a salon. Usually your back in the car 10 minutes or less after you get your tan and the seatbelt will rub across your shoulder, chest and stomach...Yikes!
My clients value there time, thier tan and love the personal service so its more than just a tan that I bring to my clients and thats what I love about being mobile and why I choose not to offer salon appointments anymore. There are other places in Seattle to go if you want to opt for a salon but if you want the best mobile sunless then give me a shout! I have 8yrs experience and have been offering mobile for over 2yrs now and it Rocks!!
Cheers to you!
Ok so WHY do I love going to my clients homes VS. having them come to a salon? Well for me personally I love the fact that it cuts down on some key factors that can ruin a sunless tan before the client even gets home.
Loving what I do and keeping busy with my wonderful clients and my 4yr old daughter. I'm very blessed and grateful!!
